Joseph "Joe" August Smith

Joseph “Joe” August Smith, age 19, a lifelong resident of St. Clair Shores, passed away suddenly January 20, 2013. He was born May 1, 1993 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. Joe was a 2007 graduate of St. Joan of Arc Catholic School in St. Clair Shores and a 2011 graduate of South Lake High School. He was also a Life Scout and member of Troop 1414. Joe was currently attending Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He was also working at The Shores Inn during his summers at home away from college. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and also going to the Renaissance Festival, Kilt and all. Joe will be missed by many.

Beloved son of Steve and Shannon. Loving brother of Megan. Loved grandson of Diane Moroney and Nadine Smith. Nephew of Kim (Steve) Rajnert, David Smith, and Barbara Carpenter. Cousin of Justin, Chris, LeeAnne, Bailey, Trevor, Travis, Logan, and Morgan. Dear friend of Catherine Perez, David Yaden, Michael Kosut, and Vince Ader.
