Dr. Vincent Siragusa

Passed away on April 6, 2009 after a long battle with Kennedy's Disease, which he fought for years with courage and dignity. Dr. Siragusa was born on October 14, 1944 in Detroit. He received his M.D. from Michigan State University 1972. He did his Internal Medicine residency at St. John Hospital and a fellowship in cardiology at Beaumont Hospital. He began his practice in cardiology in Las Vegas in 1978 and with his partners established the Heart Institute of Nevada in 1984. He was a pioneer in the development and use of heart catheterization and angioplasty to treat coronary disease. After moving to Butte, Montana, in 2002, he used his expertise to provide cardiac care for many who otherwise would have had to seek care outside of Butte. He is survived by his wife, Kerrie and his children, Vincent and Gianna; his mother, Nancy; his brothers Ben (Denise) and Joseph; and his sister Joanne (Justin) Klimko. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary, in 1971 and his father, John, in 1989.
