Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 4, at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church for Shelly L. Freeman, 37, of St. Cloud, who died on August 30, 2010. The Reverend Scott Pogatchnik will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 PM on Friday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud, and from 9:00-10:00 AM on Saturday at the Church in St. Cloud. Parish prayers will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
Shelly was born on April 5, 1973 in St. Paul. She was the daughter of Don Sand and Marty (Sand) Ahles. She lived in St. Cloud her entire life and was a graduate of Apollo High School. Shelly was currently employed at Sam’s Club and really enjoyed the relationships she developed with her customers and co-workers. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, but most of all spending time with her two sons.
Shelly is survived by her sons, Tanner and Nathan Freeman; parents Marty (Rob) Ahles and Don Sand; brother Shawn Sand; biological family, mother Diane Anderson, brothers Robert and Michael; godmother Theresa Berger; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; special friend Dean Kliche.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Henry and Marie Sand, Leona and Al Merten, Ted and Lorraine Ahles, mother and father-in-law Gerri and Bill Freeman.

I met Shelly in elementary when we went to McKinley together. She introduced me to Tracy Bronder, and the three of us spent a lot of time together back then. She is truly missed!
