One looks back with appreciation to a brilliant teacher Mr Roy Lurch, but with gratitude to you who touched me.  The curriculum is so much necessary raw material, but warmth is the vital element for the growing into a man today. Without you I wouldnt be the person I am today. You were the person who indentify my passion and interest for construction. Thank You and may your soul rest in peace.

Wow! Mr. Lurch was the first teacher I met at STETHS. He was our Homeroom teacher (8D), a a truly quiet but dignified man. A life well-lived is now at peace. R.I.P. Mr. Lurch.

RIP Mr. Lurch. You were my mentor, teacher and friend. You held my hands and encouraged me through every step of the way when I decided to challenge the Engineering course. I remember the day the AEB results came out and I was successful in Engineering workshop theory and practice  (metal work)...I saw pride in his eyes.
