Royce, I miss you, man! You were a good friend and kind to all around you. I'll never forget you. And I'll never get the chance to finally beat you at HORSE!!!
Royce was a gentle, kind prson who always had a way of getting a smile out of anyone. Still miss his gentle, quiet, dignified way. I guess the good really die young.
You were the only kid in the sixth grade at East Elementary who could beat me in an arm wrestle. I respected you for that, and your sensitive maturity--for a boy!;)

This is a poem I wrote when I found out that Royce had passed away!"With Open Arms"
Heaven was waiting for Royce, with open arms
To share his sweet spirit, kind heart and boyish charms
His earth life was short, yet fulfilling
To serve our Lord, he was willing
Called to Serve in a far away land
Being guided by faith, and our Master's hand
It is hard for family & friends to let him go
But he is at peace, with our Heavenly Parents that much we know
Our ultimate goal in life is to live that we may obtain celestial glory
For our friend Royce, this is a perfect ending to a perfect story
