LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. — Carol “Lynn” (James) Austin, the daughter of Bayliss and Lillian (Reed) James, was born January 19, 1950 in St. Joseph. She attended Hyde School and graduated from Benton High school in 1968. She passed away on May 2, 2011 at her home in Lake Oswego after a two year battle with cancer.

She had lived in Simi Valley, Calif., for 22 years and moved this year to be near her family.Lynn was preceded in death by her parents in 1972 and a sister, Judy McCollum on February 12, 2011.She is survived by her son, Eric (Christine) Anderson; grandson, Nick; and granddaughters, Abby and Sophie of Lake Oswego; brother, Reed (Carol) James, St. Joseph; one niece, three nephews, several cousins, and former co workers. She has been cremated and at her request there will be no services.
