LARRY FRANKLIN WILSON

Larry Franklin Wilson 66, of St. Joseph, Missouri, went to be with his heavenly father on Sunday, June 18, 2017 . He was born September 17, 1950 in St. Joseph, MO, to Robert "Bob" and Barbara Wilson. Larry spent his childhood and adult life in his hometown where he was a familiar face to many in the south end of town. Growing up, Larry enjoyed camping, family vacations, and playing baseball. He graduated from Benton High School in 1968 and made his career as a Boilermaker with Local Union 83. He loved being with friends, going out and playing bingo. He had a special relationship with his cousin, Diane Mazur and his sister, Debbie Lotz who helped take care of him.
Larry was preceded in death by his mother; Barbara Wilson, grandparents; George and Viola Meeks, Olive and Mary Walker, aunt; Donna Miller, aunt; June Wilson, aunt; Maxine McKenney, uncle; Gilbert Wilson, and uncle; Joe Wilson. Survivors include, his father; Robert "Bob" Wilson of St. Joseph, MO, daughter, Natalie (Kevin) Koehler, grandson, Noah Koehler all of Phoenix, AZ, and sister; Debbie (Tom) Lotz of St. Joseph, MO, aunt; Lou Wilson of St. Joseph, MO, special friends, Melissa Kretzer and Nancy Gunthery, and numerous cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm, on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Rupp Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery.
