SAVANNAH, Mo. — James Edward Wright, 69, of Savannah, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at his home in Savannah.

He was born November 24, 1946, in St. Joseph, son of Catherine and Alvin Wright.
He graduated from Christian Brothers High School and was the owner and operator of Jim's Painting and Papering Co.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Preceding him in death are: his parents; wife, Jeanette Wright; and son, Jeff Wright.

Survivors include: daughter, Jennifer (Dennis) Owsley; sons, Greg (Kimberly) Wright and Craig Wright, of St. Joseph; six grandchildren, Clint and Darian Owsley, Brian Wright, Ashley Wright, Eric (Rachel) Clark and Jennifer Martinez; three brothers, Alvin Wright Jr., John (Wanda) Wright, of St. Joseph, and Michael Wright, of Savannah; and a sister, Ramona (Craig) Conant, of Warrensburg, Mo.; The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Father Chuck Tobin Celebrant.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, at the Rupp Funeral Home.The inurnment will be at the Mount Olivet Cemetery.
