Virkay M. Boehm was born on July 14, 1950 in St. Louis, MO.  She was the daughter of the late Virgil E. and Catherine M. (nee Wagner) Boehm.  She died on May 31, 2019 at her home in De Soto at the age of 68.

She is survived by her children, Kathy (Jeff) Oberkfell of Festus, MO; Sam Pona of Virginia Beach, VA; and Keith (Theresa) Pona of De Soto, MO; daughter-in-law, Tammy Biggers-Pona; sister, Peggy Sagehorn of De Soto, MO; and 2 half-sisters, Lynn Vitale of St. Louis, MO; and Gina (Eric) Painter of Florissant, MO; grandchildren, Travis Jacob (Allison) Bradley, Ashley Pona, Sam (Stephanie) Pona II, Alexis Pona, Ayrehl (Ryan) Brooks, Kortnee Pona, Dameon Pona, and Marissa Missey; and soon-to-be great grandbaby Bradley; her cat Snuggles; and step-mother, Nancy Boehm.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Michael S. Boehm.

Virkay has been a mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend to so many. She had accomplished many things in life such as; published author, water aerobics instructor, beautician, store owner, dance instructor, and so much more.
