Kathy Riley (Gabris)

Kathleen Jean Gabris (nee Riley), of O’Fallon, MO, born on January 23, 1950, was called home on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at the age of 70. Beloved wife of David Gabris for 50 years; cherished daughter of the late Jerry and Dorothy Caron. Devoted mother of Deanna (Ryan) Peck, Jennifer (Scott) Ethridge, Nicole (John) Crow, and Amanda (Ryan) Pearcy; bonus son and daughter, Scotty and Jonnell Patton; loving grandmother of Jake, Brock, Bryce, Canyon, Christian (McKayla), Michael, Eli, Maci, Salem, Nolan, Ronin, Jayden, and Cameron; loving sister, aunt and friend to many.

Kathy spent 23 years teaching at Mustard Seed Preschool in Imperial, Missouri. Kathy was co-owner of Dave’s on the Boardwalk in Winghaven. She finished up her career with Wentzville School District at Frontier Middle School as a cafeteria worker. So much of her life was spent supporting her daughters’ through every band, dance, choir competition and every other event they decided to try. Her love kicked up even more when her grandkids were born. She devoted her life to showing up for every important event and giving them an infinite amount of love and support. Kathy stood firm in her faith through all the ups and downs of life with her well-known life phrase of “God’s Got This.” There was no limitation to what Kathy would do for her family. She was a solid rock and foundation for all of us. She was the heart of our family and always loved hosting all of us for any occasion. She will be missed beyond measure.

We look forward to getting together to celebrate her life this summer. Please mark your calendars for June 13 as we are planning a day to celebrate this amazing lady.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Hospital.
