In Memory

Lon Hutchison - Class Of 1973

Memory from BIll Jamerson:

Lon was an original, he introduced me to so many things when I was his roommate sophomore year.  He was an audiophile with the only Benjamin Miracord turntable/speaker system in the dorm.  Che Guevara posters adorned our walls, with books on Fidel Castro on his shelves. I soon bought a pair of gold wire rim eyeglasses to match his. Lon was a man in a hurry, while most of us walked, he strode.  He was a high achiever, exceptionally bright and acutely sensitive.  Later in life he lived in New York city where he was the sound technician for many famous recording artists like Tony Bennet.  Later, he created the original Apple Apps Store website. His laugh was infectious and his generosity knew no bounds.  In the early 2000's he became an expat living in Mazatlan, Mexico where he had vacationed as a youth with his family.  There he met his wife and was the loving father to her child.  He always had a soft spot in his heart for his days at Principia, there's no doubt he still does.
