One of the most precious expressions of love I have ever received came from Bridget. At our 25th Upper School reunion we all stayed in the girls dorm. I had not seen many of my classmates in 25 years, Bridget included. While standing in the dorm lobby on the afternoon of everyone's arrival, Bridget and I locked eyes, smiled, and walked over to each other. She said, "I don't remember why, but I just know that I love you", and threw her arms around me. That gesture, that love and friendship we had for each other 25 years earlier, however brief, summed up the love I had for not only Bridget, but still have today for so many of you reading this tribute.
Yep, Robb. That DOES sum it up, sir. Thinking about our friends that we cease to experience in the flesh now, and remembering them...and loving them just the same...not that we can keep score, but maybe with just a little more understanding since we know more of their story...it just magnifies my gratitude for all y'all. Bridget, Syd our class banner creator, Michelle, Kenny (what a great hilarious team mate...and Jim Dickmeyer, I wish to hell you and Phil Brake would show up), Lisa, my cousin Martha, John (believe it or not, I remember your last few moments of what I believe were your last few moments of organized basketball...at least I am claining to), Sam, (I wish I had known you better), Laura (who a few of you have met and known), Debbie, a bunch of you who I have forgotten, I am so grateful for your presence in my life. AND I hope that regardless of your relationship with Christian Science, and perhaps especially even if that relationship has become inactive, like mine, that you still show up, you...stinkers! (I think Bridget would like that I rambled on her memory page. Yeah. I'm sticking with that.) Steve Lamm, I am talking to you, sir.

Beautifully said Rob! Bridget was just one of those gems who overflowed with love...genuine love! Thanks for writing those memories! So right on!
