Albers, Carla S. (Eckert) age 57, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014 after a long and courageous fight with cancer, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church. Beloved longtime companion and soulmate of David Bonderer, Loving mother of Charles Albers, special mother to Adam (Sara) and Scott (Sarah) Bonderer, and special grandmother of Jack and Cameron. Dear daughter of Dolores (Kibbey) Eckert O'Donnell and the late Raymond J. Eckert, and dear step-daughter of the late James O'Donnell. Special daughter-in-law of Bernice Bonderer. Loving sister of Kay (Bill) Burnett (and their children Brad (Keala) Burnett, Jenna (Casey) Lavin, Craig Burnett), Karen (Gerard) Bullard, Carolyn (Gerald) Edwards, Candice (Jorge) Pereira (and their children Jessica and Stephanie Pereira) Crystal (Douglas) Brockhan, Kenneth (Christine) Eckert (and their children Cara, Kelsie, Cassidy Eckert) and Kerry Eckert. Carla has many other relatives, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews in the Bonderer family. Carla was formerly married to Joseph Albers and has many other family members in the Albers family.
 

Carla was a Hairstylist for 39 years in the St. Louis area.
Services: visitation 5-9 pm Sunday, May 18 at Hutchens Mortuary, 675 Graham Rd., Florissant. Procession to church, prayer beginning at 9:15 am Monday, May 19 from Hutchens Mortuary, going to Sacred Heart Church for 10 am Mass. Interment of Urn following in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
