Mary Lu Birchem had many fond memories of her friends and time spent at St. Louis Park High School. She went on to become a wife, mother, grandmother, and had a lifetime career of secretarial work and raising her children. She loved spending time with family and friends. Throughout her life, she enjoyed singing in the choir, tending to her flowers, and craft making. Mary Lu had a loving and giving heart and always lent a hand to others. Mary Lu was loved and will be missed.

Mary Lu and I would walk to her home after high school classes and just yap about the crazies of the day. She was someone I have and will always recall because she was so considerate, helpful and a good friend. Though we never socialized, she was a dear friend. I am so sorry to learn of her passing. Something we all must face soon enough....garystember
