Kenneth Cherry

Kenneth Cherry

Ken Cherry died on August 14, 2025 from a brain hemorrhage.  His celebration of life memorial service was scheduled and held on August 24, 2025.   Classmate Kent Brothen attended the Celebration of Life.  He reported that the Marines were there for a salute and tribute to Ken.  Ken was in the Marine Corp following high school, and proudly served our nation during the Viet Nam conflict.

Ken is survived by wife Roberta Lee Cherry, children Jodi Chery, Holly Canfield, Ginger Knisley, Anne Cherry, Scott Cherry, Dana Cherry and Tod Erdmann.  He is also survived by grandchilden Leah (Philip) Pommerer, AJ (Adrienne) Dombeck, Taylor Freiermuth, Seth Erdmann, Reid {(Jackie) Freiermuth, Navar (Lauren) Hren, Aiden Hren, Dakota (Natalie) Shaw.  His great grandchildren are Gavin, Layla, Athena, Cillian, Braylee, Kinley, Ainsley & Lennox.  Arrangements were made by the Robert's Funeral Home of Inver Grove Heights.

If you go to "The Luckiest Generation" booklet that was prepared for our 50th Class Reunion, you will find a page devoted to Ken, wherein he describes what had to be a wonderfully fulfilling life in terms of both his expanded family and a myriad of business interests.  It is noteworthy to those of us from the Class of '58 who knew Ken to be a caring and giving individual, that among his 7 children, 4 are adopted.  Ken and Roberta opened their home to care for others who were in need of loving parents.
