Steven M. Laven died on July 13, 2005, at age 65, of congestive heart failure.

Steve is survived by sons Daniel Laven of Vermont and Jonathan Laven of Chicago.  Steve is also survived by a brother Alan Laven and a sister, Lynda Larson, and former wife Frances Laven.  He is interred at Adath Yeshurun Cemetery, on the corner of 56th and France Ave. S., Edina, MN.

Steve Laven was in medical practice as a nurse anesthetist from 1969 to 1997.  In fact his capabilities in anesthesiology were so highly regarded, according to his son Jonathan,  that in his final years Steve became an expert witness in many courtroom trials of legal cases involving anesthetic malpractice.

We last recall Steve attending our 20th Class Reunion.  We know he had a strong relationship with our classmates Louis Abramson and Patti Osterberg Margeson, who may know much more about the life of Steve Laven.
