Edwin Lindborg

Edwin Lindborg

Edwin P. Lindborg, or Eddy as we called him in high school, of Woodbury, MN passed away February 23, 2022 at the age of 82. Ed was born December 28, 1939 to Florence and Stuart and raised in St Louis Park.

While in high school, Ed spent a lot of time on the golf course, but he was never on our golf team.  Instead, he was in band all three years, was Chair of the Hall and Building Committee, participated in the Latin Club for two years and was on the Student Council for our senior year.

He was an Evan Scholar (that's for golf) and graduated from the University of Minnesota. Ed is survived by his wife, Jane, of 54 years; children: Stuart (Leah), Corinne (Bill), and Kate; grandchildren: Zachary Gunnar, Cameron Lucas, & Benjamin Richard; siblings: Sherrie (Farzaneh), Tom (Carol), John (Margaret), and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

While Ed had many accomplishments in his life, being a loving husband, father, and morfar were his greatest. The word "morfar" is a swedish word that essentially means "grandfather, grandpa, granddad and grandpapa."  Ed was proud of his swedish heritage.

A private service will be held March 28th, with a gathering for friends and family between 12-2pm at Eagle Valley Golf Course in Woodbury. Please consider memorials to the Evans Scholars Foundation or the American Swedish Institute. The family would like to thank St Croix hospice for their wonderful care and attention to Ed.

Eddy was such a nice guy in our HS band program. I think he played the oboe. Seems like he was a good friend of Kent in the clarinet section. We were all friends. Like all us Scandinavians, he had a cute way of blushing. May you rest in peace. I know you have been a good person!
