Wernz, Susan Elizabeth, Age 79, of Hopkins, MN passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2020. Preceded in death by her Husband Timothy Charles Wernz. Survived by Jeff Bender (Catherine), Charlie Bender, John Wernz (Kim); grandchildren Neisha and Tim Bender, Tyler and Alissa Wernz; sister Mary Magnuson (Archie); and nieces and nephews. Susan was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Being a mother and grandmother was the joy of her life. Her smile and laugh were loved by all. No interment, visitation or memorials are planned at this time.
As we learn more about the life and accomplishments of our classmate Susan Zimmerman, we will post them here. In high school, her friends will recall that Susan was active in G.A.A., Glee Club, Senior Chorus, Canteen, Blue Tri, Pep Club, Red Cross, and appeared in our Junior Class Play.

Susan, what a beautiful lady she was always up and active and her zest for life were an inspiration. I remember the wonderful conversation we had with her at the 50th. She continued on and was blessed with a wonderful 2nd marriage and a love for competitive bridge. I remembered after posting this attending Susan's father, Lou as I remember, and the visitation for his funeral and the feeling about the family how the familys values were passed on, can remember them because of who Susan was!

Susan was part of the "ladies who lunch" group that formed after our 50th reunion. She and Donna Severson Meredith were still best friends and good lunch company. Susan was so sad when Donna died…
