July 12th, 2025

Today I learned my long time friend Jill Ann Ewing Heimerl passed away on July 12th, her 81st bday. I want to share some memories, read if you will. We had fun in H.S. and continued on after we both were married earlier than most couples. I married Frank Boyce and we had 2 sons, Tim and Dan. Jill married Dick Heimerl and they had 2 daughters, Kelly and Kristen. Jill was the best of the best Moms. Our Friendship grew s we played together enjoying our lives. Frank built homes, Dick was a CPA. They purchased land together and built several homes. We were both introduced to the BWCAW by Jill's neighbor a R.N. Kitty Smith. If you can canoe together with all the work involved and still be good friends its a plus. Jill was a Fun create lady. For a short while we had a Design Business together, Design West. Jill flourished and in time had her own shop/space in a antique mall. She liked buying and selling antiques, she sometimes traveled to N.Y. on special buying trips. At the end of these fun packed years raising children, going dancing at the Pink Poodle downtown and do you recall The Alps..so fun. We traveled to Scotland to rediscover our shared roots in 2015. Memories I have so many more to share, I know you have your own. Loved that lady my friend Jill Heimerl.. Pam Mielke Boyce
