Patricia "Judy" De Jesus

MARCH 21, 1944 – APRIL 4, 2024

Judy De Jesus, also known as Patricia J. De Jesus, passed away on April 4, 2024, in Kansas City, MO, at the age of 80. She was born on March 21, 1944, in Minneapolis, MN. Judy was a loving and caring person who dedicated her life to her family. She faced adversity with courage and always extended a helping hand to friends in need. Her compassionate nature extended to her concern for children worldwide.

Judy is survived by her husband, Chris De Jesus, her daughters Sarah Wilson, husband Luke Wilson and their children Lauren and Harris; and Gretchen Fisher, her husband Christopher Fisher and their children Skyler and Sienna. She is also survived by her sister Barbara O'Neil Horbal and her husband Gene Horbal; and her sister Jennifer O'Neil and son Kevin O'Neil. Judy was preceded in death by her father, Joseph O'Neil, and mother, Genevieve Meyers.

Judy graduated from St. Louis Park High School in St. Louis Park, MN, and later earned a degree in teaching from the University of Minnesota at Mankato. She volunteered her time at various organizations, including Safehome, Meals on Wheels, and the Johnson County Christmas Bureau.

Memorial services will be held at the Church of the Nativity in Leawood, KS, on April 25, 2024. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:00 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Johnson County Christmas Bureau or Children's Mercy in Kansas City, MO.
