Carol-Jean Planthaber, 68, of Stillwater, passed from this life on Aug. 4, 2013, at her home.  Carol-Jean was born on Dec 13, 1944, in Far Rockaway, N.Y., to William and Jean (Roche) Planthaber.  Carol was a renowned pianist and she devoted her life to teaching others the joy she found in beautiful music.  Carol-Jean was a quiet and intelligent woman who will be missed by her friends and the many students she taught during her tenure at Oklahoma State University.  A service celebrating Carol's life will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Francis Xavier Cathold Church in Stillwater.
