My dear, lifelong friend Carol passed in December, 2008, but I still miss her so much and think of her often. She was one of the kindest and most caring people I have had the privilege to know. Our history together goes back to Randolph Heights Elementary School, where she befriended me when I first moved to St. Paul. There are too many memories to recount here, but Carol, along with her husband Tom, have been a part of my life—and the lives of a close group of Central class-of-’63 grads and our families—ever since we met.
It has been my good fortune to have remained close friends through all the years of her life.
