Another lifelong friend, Kay Olson, passed just this last week. She has always been a soft spoken, caring and kind person, and I am blessed to have had her in my life. My friendship with Kay began at Randolph Heights Elementary. We were neighbors, classmates and friends then, and we have maintained that friendship throughout our lives. She and her husband, Jerry, have been a part of a small group of Central friends who have remained together through all the highs and lows in our lives. She and Jerry raised four children who, through their own merits and the examples set by their parents, are wonderful individuals. Kay will be so missed by all those who know and love her.
I remember Kay Gilbertson ...as the pretty and quiet and NICE "girl next door". I wish I had known her better. My condolences to her family. Sonia Aswegan, you two were blessed with a life long friendship ... remember and enjoy. It's the love of people that gives life joy and purpose! Barb
