I have been deeply saddened by the news of Marilyn's passing and very grateful for the short time I had in conversation with her at the reunion. My heart goes out to Gary and family.
As I recall, we walked the halls, attended classes and participated in activities with so many truly fine individuals and Marilyn was right up there. The intervening years and zero involvement in Class of ‘63 reunions and/or the scholarship campaign mean that I did not know Marilyn as she matured and grew into the woman mourned by those who knew and loved her. Still, I join you in grief and send my sincere condolences to Gary and the family
My deepest sympathy to Gary and Family. Seems impossible that she is gone. Just spoke with her during the reunion and with Gary so it seems like a very bad nightmare to learn she has gone on to Heaven. She was a super nice lady and had a super nice husband also. They say time heals all wounds, but sometimes it feels like it won't. This is one of those times.
May your fondest memories carry you through the days ahead. We were surprised and saddened to hear about your loss. Our sympathy to you, Gary and your family...Marilyn was a special person who will be remembered for her smile & loving kindness to all. She will be missed but not forgotten. Bill & Gloria Gaddis (AZ)
Thank you to all for your kind and loving comments about Marilyn. We started dating when we were 16 years old and it is difficult to think of life without her.
She really enjoyed the fifty year reunion, and talking to all of you. She was a real people person and the most thoughtful person I ever met.
I consider myself very lucky. In the months prior to our reunion Marylin and I became Facebook friends after Groveland Park and Central living a block apart. Then meeting at the reunion. I remember people by whether or not they are happy and I remember Marylin as Happy.
