On the morning of June 2nd, 2022, Daniel “Danny” Sayles died at the age of 68 at his home in Riverview, FL. Son of Boots and Arlene Sayles, Danny was born in Chicago, IL in 1954. In April 2022 he retired from a 40+ year career in electrical supply.Danny was a fun-loving guy with a goofy sense of humor, a flair for storytelling, and a list of friends 10 miles long. He loved music, cooking, golf, poker, travel, and his family. He gave the best Christmas presents.Danny is survived by his mother Arlene, his sisters Jeanie, Marsha, Annette, Mary, Laura, his brother Michael, his wife Deanne, his children Jason, Ryan, Crystal, Jake, Billy, Shianne, and so many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.A public memorial was held at 10:30 am on Sunday, June 12th, 2022 at Sorensen Funeral Home in Saint Petersburg, FL."And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make."
Danny was such a great guy. I am so sad for his family. He always had a smile on his face, and a funny remark about EVERYTHING! His passing will surely leave a giant hole in his family. Let's pray they will be able to feel much joy for the time he was with them,and be able to grieve his passing by being closer than ever,as he he would have wanted.
I personally don't remember Danny Sayles from high school. Danny joined our class website on or before 4/27/22. He told me he found the class website by accident. I contacted him, like any other new sign-ups to our class website, where he told me he recently retired. When I asked him if he was thinking about coming to our 50th reunion, he said he was thinking about attending, which would be his first class reunion to attend. I found out later by his posted obituary that he passed away right after our messages back and forth.
Don't take life for granted. Enjoy each day we are given, as we are not promised tomorrow.
