Tori R. Eva was born to Ethel Mae Eva and David Tennell on January 3, 1966 in St. Petersburg, Florida and passed away on June 21, 2016 at the age of 50 in Merced, California where he was a resident for 32 years. He was such a wonderful person, devoted husband and father. He will be truly missed . Tori was an active member of Valley Harvest Church, Phi Beta Sigma, as well as with Concerned Men Cook for Education. Tori was passionate about coaching, he coached for numerous sports such as: Merced Cheetah Track Club, Merced Bears Youth Football, youth leagues in basketball, little league baseball and flag football. He also coached track at Providence Christian School. Tori is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Denard Davis and his brother, Erico Eva. He is survived by his Wife, Donna Davis of Merced, California; mother, Ethel Mae Eva of St. Petersburg, Florida; sons, Marquel Turner, Torion Eva, Jovontae Turner, and Tori Eva Jr. of St. Petersburg, Florida, Keon Davis of Opelika, Alabamha and Enam Davis-Eva of Merced, California; step-daughter, LaDonna Davis-Turner of San Diego, California; mother-in-law, Yvonne Davis of Merced, California; brothers, Derrick Eva of San Francisco, California, AJ Jenkins of Fullerton, California and his fraternity brothers with Phi Beta Sigma; sisters, Elicia Eva, Tunisia Eva and Angelia Ezeoke of St. Petersburg, Florida and 6 grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with funeral services at 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthews Baptist Church located at 1057 N Street Merced, California.
