On August 25, 1988, a group of young boys and girls, scared and wet behind the ears, stumbled off their yellow buses, bikes, skateboards, out of their parents vehicles, or from the local neighborhood side walks and slowly paced themselves down the halls of the mecca of all schools, Gibbs High.
Those first timid footsteps ultimately would lead them on a four year journey to become successful and productive young men and women. On that first day at Gibbs, they met in the Quadrangle or in front of buildings E, S or H with their stone washed jeans, flat tops, bleach-ripped jeans, Keds, parachute pants, moussed mullets, African medallions, half shaved asymmetrical hairdos, and leggings thinking that they popped out of either a Nirvana, Guns N' Roses, or Public Enemy video.
Some will remember that day and some have worked very hard to forget it, but the day they will never forget is the day they walked across that stage at the Pasadena Community Church and became Gibbs High's graduating class of 1992.
Welcome back my fellow Gladiators! In addition to our Facebook group, this will serve as the central hub for information and communication regarding our reunion activities and plans. We will be using this site to send out invites, track RSVP's and collect payment for the reunion as well as keep everyone up to date. For those classmates who are not on Facebook, please lead them to this site.
Please take a moment to register and feel free to use the message boards, discussion areas, and photo albums to reconnect and reminisce!
