dear uncle of Lisa (Lance) House, Nancy (Joseph) Forlenza, Marian (Michael) Petri, Stasia Lehmann, Leah (Shawn) Weidner, Kurt (Abby) Schafers, Dr. Emma (Matt) Karl, Neal, and Marie Schafers,
dear great-uncle of Kaila, Karissa, and Kelsey Pirrie, Joseph and Nicole Forlenza, Cole, Maclain and Ava Petri, Jacquelyn, Rachel Lehmann and Everett Weidner, Jack and Ethan Schafers;
dear nephew of Mary Goodrich of Ellenton, FL and Patricia Schafers of St. Louis;

Dr. Jerry Schafers had dental practices in St. Louis for over thirty years and was a member of the Missouri Dental Association.
He was a graduate of University of Missouri Dental School in Kansas City and the University of Missouri in St. Louis, and a graduate of McBride High School.
Jerry was a dedicated outdoorsman who loved to fish and kayak the streams of the Missouri Ozarks.
He was an avid volleyball player who played recreational volleyball until the time of his death.
Services: from the ORTMANN-STIPANOVICH Funeral Home, 12444 Olive Blvd., Creve Coeur, Fri., March 14, 9:20 a.m. to the Shrine of St. Joseph Church for 10 a.m. Mass. Donations to appreciated. Visitation from 4-8 pm Thursday.
