Beloved husband of Nancy Tuhill (nee Spaeter); loving father of Krissy (Joe) Tuhill, Joe (Denise) Tuhill and April (Jason) Gluck; dear son of James and the late Helen Tuhill; dear brother of James, Janice, Joni, John and the late Jerry; dear step-father, grandfather, step-grandfather, son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend.

Joe was retired from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. Joe was also long time member of the Elks lodge.

Services: Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON Chapel, 10151 Gravois, Friday, April 27, 9:30 a.m. to St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church for 10:00 a.m. Mass.

Interment Mount Hope Cemetery.

Memorials to American Diabetes Association appreciated. Visitation Thursday, 3-9 p.m.

BIO

P.O. Joseph Tuhill, DSN 1677, was commissioned as a Police Officer on 07/29/1979.

Upon graduating from the academy he was assigned to the following Districts an Divisions throughout his career. They were the 6th, 2nd, Mobile Reserve Section, 2nd, Area 1 Executive Officer, Area 1 Desk Officer/Holdover, Juvenile Division, Traffic Safety Division, Mounted Police Unit, Traffice Safety Division, 9th, and finally the Central Patrol Division as a Desk Officer.

He retired on 08/08/2005e with 26.03 of dedicated service to the Saint Louis Metropolitan Department. During his career he was awarded 2 Letters of Commendation for outstanding police work.

He was also a veteran on the United States Army Reserves having served from 04/01/1970 to 01/01/1976 and attained the rank of E-4.

Joseph "Joe" Tuhill expired yesterday in his sleep in Port Charlotte Florida and was a retired Saint Louis Police Officer.
