JEFF SCHULTE

GONE TO SOON...

Jeffrey W. Schulte

Jeffrey W. Schulte "Dutch Schultz" (63) of St. Louis on February 4, 2015.

Husband of Cheryl (nee Pequignot) Schulte; son of Jane Kaufman; father of Kristin (Trent) Sauer, Lauren (Kevin) Butz and Brandon (Kathleen) Schulte;

 Poppy to Claire Ann, Brooklyn Elizabeth, Abraham Leo, Kolby Thomas, Audrey Grace, Jacob Jeffrey and Evelyn Marie; brother of Mark Schulte; son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle and friend to all. Jeff was a man of many hats – literally.

But his main passions in life were faith, family and music. His faith in God was rock solid at the end of his life on earth.

 For many years he allowed his doubts and questions to stop him from having a relationship with God. Finally, after years of searching, he learned to accept a childlike faith and allowed God to fill him completely. Now he not only has all his questions answered, he is wholly with God.

Jeff gave all of himself to his family. One of his goals in life was to be a good father and husband, and he did this 110%.

He and his wife Cheryl had a loving, fun-filled marriage and they balanced each other perfectly.

Whether it was going on a road trip together, going out to see a $5 movie on a Wednesday, or simply being together at their home of nearly 30 years, they loved each other and they loved being around each other.

His children Brandon, Lauren and Kristin could not have asked for a better dad and each one made him proud in their own way. In his role as "Poppy" to his 7 grandchildren he had become "larger than life" in many ways.

Evelyn, Jacob, Audrey, Kolby, Abraham, Brooklyn and Claire will be hearing stories about Poppy for the rest of their lives and he is already missed by them.

As his granddaughter Claire said, "Poppy is with Jesus. Jesus is in my heart. So Poppy is in my heart." Jeff had a special bond with his brother, friend and business partner Mark.

The car lot will never be the same without him. Music had been a means of expression for Jeff his entire life.

 He was Dutch, the blues man, and he was known all around town.

The pinnacle of his musical career was his self-produced album "A Block Away" which was released in 2013.

It was his lifelong dream. Every song was written and performed by him and he had already begun work on his next album: "'Neath My Hat and My Shades".

Just as God was at work in Jeff's life,

He is now working through his death. He will be missed by us all until we see him again.
