Pointer, Ann Selvidge Ann Selvidge Pointer, Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, on Monday, March 3, 2014. Beloved daughter of the late George Wesley Selvidge and Roberta Cowley Selvidge; dearest mother of Richard W. Pointer; dear sister of Lauren Baxter, Mark Selvidge (Vicki Myers), Blaine Selvidge (Stephanie) and Sue Selvidge; our dear sister-in-law, aunt, greataunt, niece, cousin and a dear friend to many. Ann's constancy and passion provided close to a half century of success to her family's business and beloved Clayton landmark World News. Her wit, caring, love for art, yearning for travel; we will remember forever. Her devotion unquestioned. Her spontaneity unmatched. She was memorable to all she met. Her honesty and judgment provided family and friends a trusted source of true feelings. She gave others everything and today we can smile thinking of Annie. Services: The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Forsyth at Asbury, University City on Friday, March 7 at 10:00 a.m. Interment Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at THE LUPTON CHAPEL, 7233 Delmar Blvd., University City on Thursday, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Memorials in her name may be made to the Russian Language Exchange program at Saint Louis University High School, 4970 Oakland Ave, St. Louis, MO 63110.
