Nicky, we grew up together and we went to every school from PS54, IS72 to Wagner. I think of you every year on your birthday since it was the day before mine and I remember you always teasing that you were older than me. You were a goofball and always made me laugh. RIP
Nick! Affectionately called by his teammates "the wankel" joined the team as a tall uncoordinated quarterback. We always teased him and he always made us laugh. Nicky changed and got real serious about his football skills and surprisingly became a starting quarterback with talent and skills among the best falcons I've had the pleasure to take the field with. Nicky continued to make us laugh but he was an excellent quarterback with a huge heart and will always make me smile everytime I mention his nickname, "the wankel"! Gone but never forgotten! RIP From all your falcon brothers!
