Mary Elizabeth (Meier) Tindell was born July 9, 1947, in Columbia, Mississippi, to Daisy and Harry Meier and passed away Oct. 2, 2015, in Oklahoma City after a brief illness. She was 68.

Mary went to school and graduated from Stinnett High School in Stinnett, Texas, and just enjoyed attending her 50th class reunion this past summer. She earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Education Degree from SWOSU, working in counseling most of her life. She worked at Weatherford Hospital while going to college. After that she worked at Weatherford Nursing Home, New Horizons, Elk City Hospital, Watonga Prison, Sayre Prison, and was currently working at Cimarex part-time while enjoying retirement.

Mary was a member of the Federated Church and Ladies Auxiliary VFW. She enjoyed sports, especially football, and watching her niece Krystal and nephew Justin in their high school sports. Mary was an avid supporter of the Weatherford track program and a member of their booster club. Mary loved going to the New Mexico mountains because of her love of Native American art and culture. She also enjoyed trips back home to Mississippi.

She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Gene and Kathy Meier; niece Krystal and Jeff Moses; nephew Justin Meier and Michelle Carroll; nephew J.D. and Kalli Strong; niece Kristy and Derek VanDorn; 9 great nieces and nephews; aunts Helen Meier and Bernice Pittman; and many cousins and friends who loved her.
