Eric Farina, age 57, of Preston/Willimantic, died in an automobile accident in Windham on October 19, 2011.

He is survived by his beloved daughter, Janelle Farina, his two granddaughters, Jaelisyah and Jaelani Santiago; his father Amerigo Farina, his sister Ellen Gilmartin and her husband John and nephews Jonathan, Nathan and Sean Gilmartin; and his dear friend Lisa McNee.

He also has relatives in Italy, where he lived for a short time as a child. Eric lived in Willimantic most of his life, but grew up in Mansfield. He was a lover of life and of family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, rock and roll and fast cars. There was no car made that he couldn’t identify at a glance. He will be greatly missed.

His family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday Oct. 25th between 1:00 and 2:00pm with the funeral service beginning at 2:00pm at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic. Interment will follow.
