Daniel Lynn Hillard, Sr., 65, of Knoxville, passed away suddenly, at his home on Sunday, December 17, 2017. Danny had a love for racing and spent many hours with his Dad and brothers at dirt tracks and Nascar tracks. He was a Carpenter and Stone Mason, whose work can be seen all over Knoxville and the Great Smoky Mountains. He is excelled in High School football and wrestling. Danny was kind, gentle man that would give you the shirt off his back.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Iris D. Hillard; father, Tommy Hillard and mother, Louise Harmon; sisters, Sheila Hillard and Angie Skeen.

Danny is survived by his sons, Rev. Daniel L. (Karen) Hillard Jr. of Fort Wright, KY, Charles Jason Curl, John Paul Seth Hillard of Knoxville, Rick Curl of NC and Jeff Curl of Knoxville; daughters, Heather Curl Washington, Emmy Goforth and Sheri (Michael) Braden; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brothers, who were his best friends, Freddie and Steve Hillard; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service 11:00 AM Friday, December 22, 2017 at Fielden Chapel with Rev. Glen Bruner officiating. Interment to immediately follow in Caladonia Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM prior to the service at Fielden Funeral Home in New Market.
