Obituary

Peggy Lee Thompson –age 69 of the Strawberry Plains community passed away February 25, 2023. Peggy retired after 37 ½ years as a deputy clerk with the Knox County Criminal Court. She was of the Baptist faith.

Preceded in death by her parents, James and Betty Lee.

Survived by husband, Joe Thompson; mother-in-law, Julie Thompson; stepdaughters, Kara, Kristen and Kelli; sisters-in-law, Jo Ann Ailey and Vickie Thompson; and grandchildren, Ethan, Faith, Madison, Isabella and Sophia.

The family requests friends to gather from 4:00- 6:00 PM, Monday, February 27, 2023 at Bridges Funeral Home for the visitation. Family and friends will again meet at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at Thorn Grove Cemetery for a graveside service with Pastor Randy Troutman officiating.
