Wilson, Theresa York – age 58, of Knoxville, died on Sunday, December 4, 2011. She was a member of Riverdale Baptist Church at Thorngrove Community, and employed by the state of Tennessee as a taxpayer service representative. She is preceded in death by father, Walter H. York and mother, Mary Ann White York. Theresa is survived by her husband, Eddie Wilson; brothers, Rick York and wife Dianna, Thomas A. York and wife Sandi, or Murphy, North Carolina; nephew, Steve York and wife Nicki, their children, Lane and Rachel; niece, Cami Ledford and husband Phillip, their children, Becca and Reagan, of Blue Ridge, Georgia; stepmother, Maggie J. York; stepbrother, Rick Jennings and wife Doris, their daughter Sarah; aunt, Carol Jean Parker and husband David; cousin, Freddie Schnicke; and several other nieces, nephews, and cousins. Theresa was a graduate of the University of Tennessee and Pellissippi State. She met her future husband, Eddie, white at U.T. They were married in 1982 and moved to Nashville, returning to Knoxville in 1992. Theresa loved children, animals, and anything regarding UT sports. Her favorite activity was spending time with her nieces and nephews (Amber, Becca, Brianna, Faith, James, Junior, Lane, Megan, Noah, Rachel, Reagan, Rodney, Shane, Spencer, Tad, and Wyatt. Funeral service Thursday, 8:00 pm at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel. Family and friends will then meet at 10:45 am on Friday at the entrance to Woodlawn Cemetery for an 11:00 am interment service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, 871 North Weisgarber Road Knoxville, TN 37909, in memory of Theresa York Wilson and Mary Ann White York (Theresa's mother). The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel.
