Robert Spencer Alpaugh, 29, of Rural Route 2, Streator, died at 9:50 p.m. Sunday at St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, from injuries received in a motorcycle accident.

Services will be held at Barto Funeral Home, 120 W. Cleveland St., Spring Valley. The Rev. Sylvester Jesiolowski will officiate.

Burial will be in Valley Memorial Park.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. 

Born May 5, 1960, in Spring Valley, he was the son of Robert and Mary (Hall) Alpaugh.

Surviving are his parents of Streator; sisters Beth (Mrs. Gary) Pinter of Spring Valley, Patricia DeMoss of Ada, Okla. and Mary Lou (Mrs. Gary) Hamilton of Canada; and a brother, William Alpaugh, serving in the Army at Fort Jackson, S.C.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

A 1978 graduate of Streator Township High School, he had attended Spring Valley Grade School. Employed by Interlake Container Corp., Pontiac, in the paint department, he served in the Navy on the USS Nimitz. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Streator, and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
