Streator – William J. “Bill” Flori, of Streator, passed away at 3:07 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at his residence.

Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, at St. Paul’s Evangelical Church, Streator. The Rev. Dan Stalker will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator. Further visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services Thursday at St. Paul’s Evangelical Church. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Streator. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy, Bob, Brent and Gary Flori, Brandon Underwood and Jim “Matthead” Riordan.

Bill was born May 12, 1960, in Streator.  He was the son of Geno and Ardella (Reick) Flori. He married Gina Mazak in August 1976. She survives in Streator.

He is also survived by daughters, Brooke (Brandon) Underwood of Streator, Briana Flori of Streator and Bethany Flori of Streator; sons, William (Wendy) Flori of Frisco, Texas, Robert (Monica) Flori of Streator and Brent (Lacy) Flori of Streator; his father and step-mother, Geno and Dee Flori of Valrico, Fla.; grandchildren, Madison Underwood, Robert Flori Jr., Bennett Flori and one expected grandchild; a brother Gary (Lora) Flori of Aurora; half-brother, Geno (Amy) Flori of Valrico, Fla.; half-sister, Libby Flori of Peru; and a stepbrother, Robert (Lori) Flori of Fairfield, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ardella Reick.

Born and raised in Streator, he attended Streator grade schools and graduated from Streator High School, Class of 1978.

He worked through the years as a T.V. repairman for Kubik T.V. and later Mazak T.V. He was currently employed as a maintenance manager at Oak State Products.

He was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Church.

Bill was very active through the years with Streator Youth Baseball coaching his children for more than 12 years. He also played men’s softball and participated in softball leagues for many years.

Memorials may be directed to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or charity of the donor’s choice.
