Kent Michael Haar, 60, passed away Wednesday August 4, 2021 at his home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He was born on September 19, 1960 in Ottawa, Illinois.

Kent was a warm, loving and hardworking man with a heart of gold. In his younger years and while in Illinois, Kent was a skilled machine operator for several glass companies. Following his family’s relocation to myrtle Beach, Kent found excitement and happiness as a ride operator at Family Kingdom Amusement Park. When Kent wasn’t making faces light up at the Galleon Pirate Ship ride, re relished time spent with his family and making memories with friends. Kent loved a good meal and having a good time. Above all else, Kent loved his wife and family with his whole heart. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his quick wit, infectious laughter and love for his family.

Left to cherish Kent’s memory are his adoring wife of over 27 years, Suzette Richard Haar; his parents, Dale & Frances Michaels Haar; brother, John Haar and wife Vanessa and her brother, Greg German; step-sons, Jeremy Richard and wife, Tara & Andrew Richard and wife Jacklyn; grandchildren, Steven, Elijah, Jaiden, Aiyanna, Jillian & Landon; mother and father-in-law, James and Shirley Hombaker; brother-in-law, James and Theresa Hombaker; sister-in-law, Christine and Colton Wildhaber; nieces, Jennifer, Lauren, Lindsay & Ashley; nephew, David; Uncle John Haar and his family, Uncle Leon and his wife, Joanne and their family; aunt Carolina Newman and her daughter, Julie Speirer; a large, loving extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors.

A Celebration of Kent’s life will be held privately.
