Streator – Jeffrey Scott Heinz, 49, of Streator, died at 3:45 p.m. Thursday, July 16, at OSF St. Joseph in Bloomington.

A Celebration of Life will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, at Elias Funeral Home in Streator.

Memorial services will follow at 7 p.m. with the Rev. William Niebuhr officiating.

Born Jan. 4, 1960, in Streator, he was the sone of Max and Mary Lou (Dougherty) Heinz. He married Tina Clayton July 1, 1996. She survives.

He is also survived by one son, Curtis Heinz of Chicago; two daughters, Carrie (Ben) Bodznick of Monticello and Tracy Heinz of Madison, Wis.; two grandchildren, Elle and Quinlyn Bodznick; two brothers, Derrick (Patricia) Heinz of Streator and Troy (Kimberly) Heinz of Hanover Park; one sister, Laurie (Juan) Santoyo of Belvidere; and his parents; his in-laws, William and Karen Clayton; and grandfather, Harold Daughtery, all of Streator.

He was a machine operator at Interlake Mecalux in Pontiac or the past 17 years. He was an Ultralight Pilot. He graduated from woodland High School in 1978.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Jeff Heinz family.
