Charlotte- Joseph Ellis “Spike” Hutchins, 48, passed away Friday, Dec. 12, 2008.

He was born July 1, 1960, in Streator, Ill., son of Henry C. and the late Betty Jo Hall Hutchins.

Mr. Hutchins was educated in the Streator School System. He holds an MBA from the University of Illinois, Urbana. Ellis was employed by International Marketing of Imports and Exports Co. of Charlotte.

Services will be held at a later date.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Martha M. Hutchins and many loving cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. Arrangements are with Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, Gastonia.
