Michael A. Mance, 54, of Wenona passed away Sunday, September 13, 2015 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Streator.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Bethany Lutheran Church in Wenona. Rev. Rory Christensen will officiate.

Visitation will be from 4-8 P.M. Friday at Bethany Lutheran Church in Wenona. Additional visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services Saturday at the church.  Pallbearers will be, Dave Darm, Steve Salz, Eugene Miller, Steve Puetz, Rodney Hammerly, Gary Cox, Dave Wakeman, Matt Mance and Al Mackey. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services. The Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born October 20, 1960 in Streator he was the sone of Lester Moe and Carol (Baker) Mance. He married Lisa D. Darm on October 7, 1994 at Central Church of Christ. She survives in Wenona.

He is also survived by daughters, Tayler and Kamryn Mance both of Wenona; his mother, Carol Mance of Streator; sisters, Michelle (Rodney) Hammerly of Orange, Texas and Susan Rodrick of Iowa; his mother and father in laws, Wayne “Lefty” and Karen Darm of Streator; and a brother in law, Dave (Andrea Medrow) Darm of Naplate; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and numerous cousins also survive; he is also survived by his two dogs and faithful companions, Jessie and Jocko.

He was preceded in death by his father; maternal and paternal grandparents; aunts Marion Baker and Janet Mehalic; and uncle, Ronald “Pup” Mehalic; and cousins, Todd and Jenny Baker.

Born and raised in Streator Mike attended St. Mary’s Grade School and graduated Streator High School.

He worked in the Parts Department at Martin Sullivan, Inc in Roanoke for the past 15 years.

He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and loved everything John Deere.

Memorials may be directed to an educational fund for his children.
