Flora – Billie Jean Major, 36, of Clay City, died at 9:40 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, 1996, at her home.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Frank & Bright Funeral Home, Flora. The Rev. Doug Romine will officiate.

Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Flora.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Born Jan. 17, 1960, in Streator, she was the daughter of William R. and Sondra (Martin) Meyer. She married Terry E. Major on July 28, 1989, in Henderson, Ky. He survives.

Also surviving are her parents of Flora; daughters, Trisha and Alexandra Meyer, both at home; sisters, Debbie (Mrs. Mathew) Dennis of Rutland and Tracy (Mrs.Clyde) Pruitt of Flora; and maternal grandmother, Maggie Martin of Flora.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents and a maternal grandfather.

She was employed by Xenia Manufacturing.
