Autopsy to determine cause of death

A 34-year-old Streator man was pronounced dead in the St. Mary’s Hospital emergency room at 1:30a.m. today after being rushed to the hospital when discovered not breathing.

An autopsy on Kevin L. Missel, 112 Wisconsin Avenue, will be held later today to determine the cause of his death. Streator police were called to investigate the death and found no signs of foul play.

Following the autopsy, the La Salle County Coroner’s office will schedule an inquest into Missel’s death.
