Steven Lee Simpson, 62, of Lehigh Acres, Fl, passed away December 9, 2022 from complications after a long illness. Steve was born January 20, 1960 to Merle and Marlene Simpson in Streator, Il. He is survived by his mother Marlene Simpson, brothers Merle and Jeff Simpson, sister, Lisa Morris, former wife and friend of 38 years, Lynn Simpson, Sons: Nathan Simpson (Oglesby, Il), Nick Simpson (Streator, Il), four daughters; Neena Simpson (Lehigh Acres, Fl), Nicole Wheeler (Oglesby, Il), Chelsea Simpson (Englewood, Fl), Melani Simpson (Ottawa, Il) and extended daughter Kristin Dobyns (Streator, Il), Grandchildren: Siarah Klabbatz, Emerson Wheeler, Katelyn and Cole Simpson, Kaydence and Lehland Dobyns. He is preceded in death by his father Merle Simpson. Steve graduated from Streator High School in 1978. He enjoyed serving in the military. He loved all sports but especially loved his Packers. He loved to joke around and give everyone a hard time. He loved being a father but loved being a grandfather even more. There will be a celebration of life at a later time.
