Robert Arlen Soule. Jr., 23, Knox, Ind., a former Streatorite, was killed instantly Friday afternoon in an accident, while working as a section hand for the Burlington-Northern railroad, Chicago.
Apparently, Mr. Soule was at work in the railroad yard when he was struck by a train.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Winterrowd Funeral Home, with burial in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday.
Robert Arlen Soule, Jr., was born in Streator, March 15, 1960 to Robert Soule and Brenda (Frizzell) Soule. His parents both residing in this city, survive.
He married the former Lisa Holocker, Oct. 4, 1980, in Streator. She also survives.
Mr. Soule lived in Streator all of his life, prior to moving to Knox, Ind. He’s been employed by the Burlington-Northern, Inc., for the past 3 ½ years. He was a member of the Streator Eagles Aerie and the Church of Christ.
Other survivors are two brothers, Edward and Michael Soule, both of Streator; one sister, Brandy Soule, Streator; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Frizzell, Streator; paternal grandmother, Arlene Howell of Streator; paternal grandfather, Robert Soule, Pontiac.
