Sgt. Randall J. Wargo, 28, stationed at Malmstrom Air Force Base, Montana, formerly of Streator, died at 3:20 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3 at Traverse Air Force Base, Fairfield, Calif., where he had been in ill health for the past 11 months.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at St. Stephen’s Church.
Burial will be in St, Stephen’s Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Sunday, at the Solon Funeral Home. The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
Born Feb. 17, 1960, in Springfield, Ill., he was the son of Robert G. and Sylvia (Grivich) Wargo, of 75 Circle Drive, Streator.
He married the former Sherry L. Huntley on Oct. 6, 1984. She survives.
Also surviving are his parents; a sister, Mary Helen Elmore, and a brother, Steven Wargo, both of Streator; and maternal grandmother, Mary (Wargo) Mallick of Streator.
He served with the U.S. Air Force for the past seen years, retiring as a medical administration specialist on Oct. 21, 1988. He graduated from Streator High School in 1978.
