Man, I remember when nelson and willie hobbs used to come out to my house to see me and my sister charmaine. They would walk from there house to ours at least three times a week. This was from about 5th to 12th grade. I remember he would always want to race me over and over even though i never beat him, he would always say that it was "too close" and wanted to race again. I'll always remember how he would call you by your first and last name like he was trying not to get you mixed up with someone else, or the way he would always need notebook paper between each and every class change. and that laugh, that can only be described as hilarious and contagious at the same time. Love You "Always"

Nelson Johnson, I will always remember your smile and your laugh. To this day their are time when I laugh like you. How and why I don't know. But I'm not ashame because it's a part of you. You will always be in my heart. You were by far a true man of the class of 88. Finding and getting to know a man like you is very rare. No one could think of anything to say bad about you and therefore to me that makes you the MAN. You always made me laugh because everytime you turn around you would break out dancing for no reason and no music playing. You knew how to work that body when you danced. LOLOLOLOL Keep a watch over us and if possible give us a HEADS UP like you did when we were in school. Some of us needs it from time to time. With much love.

Nelson will always be in head and my heart, I had chance to talk with him and laugh with him a couple of days before his life was taken. I was with him at the park as we watched his son then one year old play. My father had just been put on life support so I was home for that, and Nelson was telling me that everything was going to be ok. I told him I had to go back to Tx. to get my son and that I was coming back in a couple of days and we made plans to meet up again when I got back in town, I didn't even think that in four more days this man at 24yrs of age would be shot and killed over something he had nothing to do with just wrong place wrong time. I'll miss him for now but know someday I'll see him again. So those of you who really knew him knew one thing he was a good friend, never talk bad about anyone and he loved to laugh and that's what makes me smile even now when I think of him.

Man, where do I start. In your back yard in the club house we built, playing kickball on Porter Street, hanging out on the corner of Lowe and Mckinley. What's up dog. I still see us playing buffalo hunt in the hood and playing basketball in Lil'Ced's backyard. Not to mention football in the street. I miss the fun we had growing up. Your laugh was second to none. Til this day, I cannot explain nor repeat your laugh. The Denver Broncos won 2 super bowls in a row. I know you saw the games. What some people may remember about you was you had a hole the size of a needle in your heart. What I will always remember is you had the biggest heart for others around you. I know God is with you right now. I'll halla.

Man, what can I say about Buck. I dont know , he was a freind that you wil always love to have in your corner. Buck would keep you laughing with all of the jokes. Hanging out riding back and forward to Dewitt. Its so many things I could say about my boi, but hey really there's nothing else that need to be said. Nelson, I love you man and your always in my heart. I know that you are our angel in the sky above.

Nelson was a really great person. He had a really unique laugh & he really cracked me up with that finger popping thing he use to do down the halls. He is truly missed!
