08/11/08 01:13 PM #928     Ann Morgan (Prather) Okay here goes.... I have been having a spiritual battle the last few weeks. I had prayed with the leaders in my church about starting a teen challenge and The Lord's answer was clear, but it upset me, here's why. I have been burdened for about 10 years that I was supposed to be in Missions and I believe I am supposed to witness to women in crisis, because of the things I have been through in my life. With out going into huge amounts of detail I finally surrendered to his call about 6 weeks ago. And, immediately I went under attack. I have been praying for His specific calling for the last 3 weeks. I have been "told" (BY GOD) to wait, during my prayer and investigation of possible reasoning, I know now that I need more leadership training and more intense Bible study with the leaders in my Church. This is a challenge with my odd hours and unpredictable schedule. It was HUGE for me to finally surrender, and now the devil is giving it all he's got to try and make sure I don't follow through. I know that The Lord will make a way but right now it would be soo easy to just put it aside and I don't want to do that. So...I'm asking for you guys to pray for me, that the road blocks on His pathway will clear and I will be able to keep on task with leadership training and increased Bible Study. I know that many of you are amazing spiritual warriors and I would love to know that you are praying for me. Also, if any of you know about any books I can read that might help me develop my Godly Leadership Skills, please let me know the names. I also go to the endocrinologist this week about elevated parathyroid and a goiter, also to see the same Doc that my mother is seeing about her tumors. Please keep me in your prayers for tha visit. I was in line at the church to vote on Tuesday and saw Adrienne (short dark hair), I think she was a year or 2 younger than us, she told me that Marci had passed away and I have been praying for her Family and most of all for her kids since and I told my community group about her last night and they will also be praying. Adrienne said that The kids were going to be split up between the father and Mary is that right? I know it will be diffucult for everyone to adjust.

09/11/08 12:17 AM #929     Hannah Hancock (Maier) Ann~ Hey girl! Who is Mary? Marci was married to Tom Berry and they had 2 kids together. Her 1st child, Trevor, lives with his dad Chuck Freemyer. Was I confused about what she told you??? How have you been? Everyone~ The Stuttgart Varsity Cheer Squad WON 2.. 1st place trophies. THey came in 1st in there division (large 4A ) and then they had the HIGH POINT in the 2A,3A and 4A all together. YEAH for them. They ahd a cheer competition meet in Jonesboro today. I just wanted to share that with ya'll. Where are you Jason & Scott? Ashely~ I talk with Teri Selig everyday and she said that she gets e-mails from you and she enjoys hearing from you!!!! You are a true angel of GOD!! Jil~ Is BAiley going to be in the Junior Queen MAllard pagent? She need to be. There are only about 5 in it that I know of.

09/11/08 11:29 AM #930     Ann Morgan (Prather) Hannah - hey, yes I was confused too... that's why I knew I might find out more from you guys. I was very sad to find out about Marci. I only knew Marci because of Stacy, but I knew she had 3 kids through Pam. I'm not sure who Mary is, I really didn't get a chance to talk to Adrienne in depth, I barely recognized her. So, The kid's will all be with their dad's, that is good, I will continue to pray for them. I remember now Stacy saying she was married to Chuck and I didn't know Trevor lived with him. It is hard to keep up when your all over the place. It has been great to be on here and get to know what is going on with everyone now. Everyone - I've been sick this week and decided to stay home this morning so I didn't spread my germs. I guess my post sounded a little delerious yesterday. I know a lot of you have far more leadership and Bible study than I do, and when I get on here and read some of your posts, I wonder why the Lord burdened me with outreach, instead someone who has more time and developed bible study skills. I feel so inadequate and underprepared at times and it can all be very overwhelming when your sick physically too. I guess what I'm trying to say is God didn't uncall me he simply answered that he wants to better prepare me. I know that there are many of you that rely on God daily as I do and that brings us together as fellow Christians, even in a place as unexpected as this message forum we have been able to come together and pray for each other, encourage one another, and witness to those who are in need. That's why I asked for your prayers. I believe it helps to have other believers praying with you too. Scott - any reccomendations on study books or words of encouragement will be appreciated. Your posts have been an encouragement to me. Thank you for being so open with your faith and love of The Lord. Ladies - Bible study reccommendations? Thanks for all of your prayers and encouraging words.

I cannot believe your all the way down there, I have never slept on ice but I can believe it would bring me back to what an awesome God we have, especially if I lived to tell about it. Is it dark or light right now? PICTURES !!!! Everything must be soo bright if its daytime. I know how the snow will blind you, I cannot even imagine the beauty you must be seeing. Please post pics. Don't get frostbite, not good, I guess you are getting to communicate with family via comuter, but I know it's hard to be away. When are you coming home? Are you on a team? WOW!! What a great experience.

I'd love to get together and have dinner and catch up afterwards if you want, any one else Up this way I'd love to see you I should be well completely by then. Have you been able to get in touch with Ginger? I e-mailed Lori yesterday. Tracey - how are you? It's been ages since I've seen you. Hannah - hey girl, overall I'm good. How are you? I know that we really weren't friends in school, I want you to know that if I ever said or did anything to hurt you in school, I am truly sorry. Anyway, that was a long time ago, and I think we have all grown up now, but I just thought you should know. Bubba - I sent you a note but you need to get on here and give us some of that funny luaghter medicine. Kathy - You daughter is an angel, she absolutely darling. It's just me and my girl too... She's the apple of my eye. Just be sure it's Mister Right knocking, Mister Wrong got let in at my house, LOL!!!! But...if it were not for him I wouldn't have Morgan. Isn't it wonderful that God gave us such wonderful little blessings to raise and enjoy?

09/11/08 10:34 PM #934     Wesley Tower I'm glad to see everyone is doing well and having a good life. We've hit the spring thaw down here so it's starting to hit into the twenties. The sun shine helps. Yesterday I went for a ten mile glacier hike, up over the volcano foot hills of Mt Erebus and down across about 7 miles of the Ice Shelf. It was a good hike in 18 degree weather. The only down side is I forgot sunscreen so between the ozone hole, the bright sun and the UV reflected from the ice and snow. Unfortunately the woman that was with me suffered a bit more from the hike. She's burned to a crisp on the face and neck and exhausted. I'm just glad we made it all the way on our own feet. I am in good shape but there is no way I can carry a 130 pound woman plus a 40 pound pack 4 miles. Sheesh, recreation around here is fun but rough. I'm off to the gym, the galley, the bar, and then the library all in that order. All of ya'll have a good night and stay warm.

They have been telling me that for a month but hopefully soon. I'm ready to get back to my family and my real job. I just hope I get to felling better soon. Happy birthday Holt, damn were getting old. Man I just would have never thought 20 years would go by so fast. It's been a good life though. I've got a great wife and great kids. Hope to see everybody soon, yall be safe.

I was in Stuttgart Saturday and me and mom were wondering how you were doing. I know you cant wait to get home with your family. It is hard to believe that we have been out of school for 20 years. It has been a great 20 for me also, other than one very rough bump in the road. things are great now. Hope everyone is doing great. The forum has been pretty slow. My family was hugely relieved when I got sent back to the U.S. My Mom said everytime she would go get Anthony out of school early he would just about kick the bucket thinking she was there to tell him I bought the bullet. It really made me sad to think of how much they must have been worried about me. I was just homesick. I think I'm about done with war though. I just can't handle seeing that kind of stuff anymore. I think it is just affects me worse the older I get. Thanks for all of your prayers while I was gone.

We have one squad for football and basketball here, what about ya'll. And we have a dance team that does both also. Bailey is not going to be in Jr Mallard, she might be interested when older, but is not right now.

I have been good and blessed (so far) with my girls ask me again at our 30 year, and I might have a different story or two. Great to see everyone on the forum....wouldn't want to trade with Wes right now. I would rather stay here with my 4 girls than be frozen.

17/11/08 04:55 PM #946     Lauren Hartz (Clark) Hello everyone- things have been kind of slow on the message forum these days....I am just as guilty for not chatting on here in a long time. Things have been CRAZY around our house. Nothing I can go into detail on here about, just take my word for it. Just spent the weekend in VA celebrating my sisters 40th birthday and had a great time. That was the longest I have been away from my baby Henry...not really a baby any more, he is 3. Grace and Corbinn are finished with soccer for the season and Grace has started basketball practice. Thank goodness the girl's have their fathers athletic ability and not mine (I should say lack there of!). Henry is still too young to tell, but I am hopeful and keeping my fingers crossed. Time to start thinking about the holidays...I have to serve two full meals Thanksgiving day. Not real sure how I got stuck with that one. I guess the girls will be washing a lot of dishes between lunch and dinner! Wes-sounds like things are pretty chilly in your life these days! would love to see pictures when you have a chance. David- glad to hear you are doing better and coming home soon. Did they ever figure out what was wrong? Jason- Happy Belated Birthday! Where is everyone? I know some of you are just reading posts and not writing anything....

The Landers Award for channel 7 will be coming up sometime, and he has already been nominated, it showed his big thing on TV a couple of months ago. A few athletes from the state are nominated for that, then a winner is chosen , it is a BIG deal, so i will be sending emails out when it is time to vote! Friday night on Channel 16, Fox, at 10:00 (Friday night Tailgate), it will probably tell about Spencer getting the MVP of year thing. Y'll have a great day!
